When you come to Factory Place, you become another member of this lively and charismatic neighborhood called the Arts District. Factory Place Arts Complex represents the pioneering spirit of the downtown renovation and revitalization movement and has developed into a creative campus where artists, entrepreneurs and creatives live, work, share and play.

The eight structures that comprise the complex sprouted their roots back in the 1920s when the Arts District was the industrialized heart of downtown Los Angeles.

The first of the renovations occurred in 1981 with the purchase of the first two buildings. That initial transformation of an old board-formed concrete building created a pioneer out of Factory Place, as the desire for such mixed-use space has only continued to grow in popularity. The campus has grown organically as surrounding structures became available. The campus today has completed a final acquisition phase with the easternmost building recently housing new and exciting retail and office tenants.
