1330 Factory Place
Initially home to LA’s Department of Water & Power as a meter-building facility, 1330 Factory Place is a stunning series of five distinctively shaped barn-like structures that were purchased in 2003 and have been converted into live-work units featuring an abundance of integrated outdoor space. Each building was carefully deconstructed and rebuilt; the interiors were renovated for contemporary style and amenities, while the striking original industrial framework was preserved.
Select units feature a mezzanine level, patios, skylights, exposed wood ceilings, and original steel trusses. Two of the five buildings, intermixed, stand roofless, with only the supporting steel remaining to act as an outdoor trellis that frames the outdoor areas. These captivating spaces feature unique courtyards, a swimming pool, BBQ, fire pits and open lounging areas.
